Project Scope And Background
Designed and built by HashNET and partners, EU-Chain was established in 2020 to provide one of a possible solution to European blockchain needs. With active cooperation with European governments, public and private sector, dozens of blockchain projects in various business scenarios, such as electronic data and document eDelivery, energy supply chain and others have been accomplished on a pilot Slovenian national project SI-Chain, on which EU-Chain builds its foundations. With its pioneering features, the EU-Chain can provide blockchain solutions with the speed of over 20.000 transactions per second.
SI-Chain
Building on Backbone of a National Blockchain Pilot SI-Chain
With active cooperation of Slovenian Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Si-Chain was launched in 2019 as a first national test blockchain infrastructure, which enables testing of existing and new blockchain applications for the public and private sector. Established by the innovative technology provider company HashNET in cooperation with Telemach, the telecommunication solutions provider, SI-Chain facilitates transactions, the creation of smart contracts and application deployment. Built on a HashNET technology, SI-Chain is one of the fastest and most energy-efficient distributed ledger technologies on the global level.

EU-Chain Consortium was established to provide a premium solution for European blockchain infrastructure needs. It is built on a HashNET technology that employs Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) with proof of authority consensus mechanism with throughput up to 20.000 transactions per second. In the name of EU-Chain Consortium, we are inviting partners from enterprise, research organizations, governments, cities and NGO’s to join the Consortium and become a part of leading blockchain technology infrastructure network in Europe. We Believe Passionately That DLT Scalability can be Achieved
EU-Chain is scalable. Scalability is the biggest problem in the blockchain technology space. Projects like Bitcoin and Ethereum are simply not capable of transferring a large number of blockchian transactions in a short timeframe. EU-Chain, on the other hand, was built to support over 20,000 transactions per second, compared to competition, which can only manage up to 2000 transactions per second.
